February stock markets delivered another month of strong returns. Technology, smaller company stocks, and utility stocks led this advance. Bonds held positive again, in the stock surge. Volatility is low and the economy remains strong. These are good signs for continued stock growth. Investors continue to test stock price upper levels – that is the prices they are willing to pay for stocks with the expectation of future growth. For now, we can enjoy the level of recovery this has produced since the year end.
The real news of the month: Stacie’s new daughter, Harper Juliana Skryz, was born February 8, five days early, weighing in at 6lbs 11.4oz. Harper is a strong and healthy baby and even has some sleeping under control! So far, Lucas loves being a big brother. Mom is doing well and enjoying her time with beautiful Harper. She expects to return to the office sometime in May.

It was a bit more snow than predicted. Our return flight squeezed nicely between the first two storms in March. The relaxing tropical time away morphed into winter wonderland. At least this storm spared the northeast the deadly tornados – and the plants will apply this slow-seeping fertilizer toward vigorous spring growth. Looks like that is going to be a while yet.
