November stock markets rose strongly, adding to this year’s growth. International as well as domestic stock prices gained while REITs lagged and bonds were generally flat for the month.
The new year may bring a custodial change as Schwab proposes to buy TD Ameritrade. Clients who have been with us for many years have been through this before. The custodian of our accounts changed in 1997, 2003 and 2005. If this change is approved, perhaps by next summer we expect another smooth transition. We’ll keep you updated as this unfolds.
